The Problem
Transportation, especially Public Transportation is about people and connections. Like any well-oiled machine, the public transport system requires the right parts to be in the right places and to work together at the right times. Public Transportation is very complex, and it is essential that S.P.A.D. in establishing the National Land Public Transport Master Plan gets it right as it is critical to the life of Malaysians and anyone who lives or visits here.
A key aspect of public transport planning is the S.P.A.D.’s formal decision to develop MyJourney; a multimode public transportation route planner application that fully supports the integration of all the public transport operators in Malaysia. Through this approach, S.P.A.D. will not only promote the use of public transportation but also supports the development of strategic centres and precincts that are highly accessible through good transport links, making them attractive locations for economic development and employment growth.
Our Solution
MyJourney app is developed specifically tailored for S.P.A.D’s significant purposes. We have made it in a way that it fully supports cross-browser compatibility and in Native App through an application store (such as Google Play or Apple’s App Store).
Just tell us where you’re starting from and where you want to go and we’ll find the best route to get you there. MyJourney allows customization of your trip to use only accessible services, and choose between bus, train, and multimodal trips. It also tells you how long your trip will take in real-time if there are any transfers involved, and how much it costs. We’ll even show you if there’s any walking required to get from one stop to another.
